AI Committee

The AI Committee stewards the university's approach to artificial intelligence (AI): it is responsible for the AI Responsible Use Policy, advises on how AI is used across education, research, clinical training, and administration, and is the body that reviews tools on request (see How Tools Are Reviewed) and ratifies the review statuses used in the Tool Directory and the Prompt Library. Where the policy's text names the AI Responsible Use Subcommittee, it means this committee.

To reach the committee with a question, a concern, or a report under the policy's reporting provisions, contact Dr. Tarron Kayalackakom, Associate Dean of AI in Medical Education, at tkayalackakom@auamed.net. Under the policy, the university takes steps to protect the confidentiality of anyone who reports misuse, and it prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith.
