The AUA AI Hub Is Open to the Community

July 27, 2026

The AI Committee is pleased to open the AUA AI Hub to everyone at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUACOM). The site has been in internal testing with committee members since June; from today it is the community's reference point for artificial intelligence (AI) at AUACOM.

Where to start, depending on what you need:

Color key: ToolLessonNews and EventsGovernance

  • The AI Literacy Pathway Short plain-language modules, self-paced, no math. The core stages take about seventy minutes in total, and every module stands alone.
  • For Students and For Faculty & Staff A route into the site organized by what you actually do, from studying and score reports to lecture preparation, exam items, and administrative drafting.
  • The Tool Directory AI tools relevant to teaching, learning, research, and clinical education, each carrying a status that describes the institution's relationship with it. A listing is not an endorsement, and committee review of any tool can be requested.
  • This Week Curated AI news, videos, and podcasts from the last seven days, refreshed several times a day, with a highlights digest every Friday.
  • Governance The approved AI Responsible Use Policy in full, the committee behind it, and how a tool gets reviewed.

Two rules apply everywhere, whatever the tool: patient information and student records never enter public AI tools. The Policy in Practice, then called The Rules, covers those and the rest of the policy's expectations in about ten minutes. (Update, September 2026: that sentence simplified the policy. The AI Responsible Use Policy itself, in its own wording, is the reference for patient information and student records, and The Policy in Practice is now a short guide to it.)

The site is maintained continuously and will keep growing. Corrections, questions, and suggestions are all welcome, and they shape what gets built next: the feedback form takes about two minutes, and contact details are on the About page.
